Hi, we are kerry & dec
Yoga teachers, outdoor enthusiasts and real food lovers, here to encourage you to get outside, move more and eat better to improve your overall wellbeing.
KERRY
After many of my younger years struggling with maladaptive perfectionism, and undiagnosed ADHD, Yoga found me! Yoga opened a door to finding peace, contentment and joy in life. Little did I know that many more doors would continue to open. Since the start of perimenopause and a diagnosis of Vestibular schwannoma, a slow growing, tiny non-cancerous tumor on a nerve which leads from the brain to the inner ear. I have become drawn to the pursuit for overall wellbeing. I find being outside magic and love being in open spaces. Park run has been hugely beneficial and running in general. I’ve become passionate about avoiding ultra-processed foods so have begun cooking from scratch.
My approach to Yoga teaching is one of being “a guide” to make suggestions one can explore, the goal of the practice being the mastery of the mind and not a perfect yoga posture, the posture work as with the breathing is more of a meditation tool, when it comes to posture work I deconstruct postures, working in stages, making yoga accessible for everyone. “We” the class as a collective are all creating our own unique practice within a frame work of my suggestions. Yoga is a science of the mind where we build strength of mind and strength of body. It gives us practical life skills that really do help in everyday situations.
I have 10 Year’s experience of teaching on an addictions program within a mental health hospital setting, an eating disorder unit within a mental health setting, care homes and those dealing with the challenges of Dementia and Cancer.

I LOVE being outdoors, whether it’s camping, snowboarding, hiking in the mountains, swimming in the sea or running 5k park runs wherever I can. A big fan of hot saunas, cold dips and outdoor cooking. A nature lover and keen re-cycler, often seen picking up rubbish and sorting through bins :) I’ve been teaching yoga for about 10 years, my approach is now more functional than performance or exercised based. I’ve more recently started practicing and teaching Tai Chi.
I’ve had a history of knee, back and shoulder injuries and am currently awaiting an operation for a inguinal/femoral hernia, which hasn’t stopped me doing what I love! I’ll try anything to self help, different movement techniques, specialist back pain management courses, acupuncture, spikey mats, massage oils, aromatherapy, steam rooms, cold baths, breathing techniques, positive attitude, the list goes on! Next on my list of things to try is wakeboarding! Watch this space :)
This is me pictured hiking in Cauterets, in the French Pyrenees in June 2025, altitude about 2,150m, completely in awe of my surroundings. The peak in the background is Le Vignemale (3,298m). It was about a 19k round trip hike.
